Ezra 9: 1-15
Waiting for God's wrath? - A mother tells her that he will be invited to walk around and buy her favorite food. Then she whispered to me that he lied to his son so as not fussy. When she continued to lie in order to appease her, the lie became commonplace for him and not perceived as disturbing sin again. As it is also a matter of bribery, small lies, falsehood for truth, cheating, promiscuity, etc. Considered normal and is no longer a sin because it does not seem to be fatal even beneficial.
This passage helps us learn to respect the holiness of God and obey Him. Recovery of Israel is due to the inconsistent attitude of the priest Ezra by:
1. Shame and saddened by mistake nation (vv 3-6). Ezra personally feel in this life so many things that are not considered to be a sin a sin anymore. Similarly, the situation in the future condition of Israel Ezra, the condition was wasted and colonized them remain innocent.
2. Ezra has deep feelings / sensitivities of the truth and love of God that causes concern (paragraph 4, 8-10).
3. Ezra prays to God with humility and tears (v 3.5).
4. Ezra put themselves united with the people, very deep embarrassment over his own people (verses 6-15).
5. Ezra aware of God's grace and mercy, so expect to see forgiveness and restoration (v 8,9,12-14). As a result of these actions, Israel is committed to repent.
Many people have forgotten the law of sowing and reaping or legal consequences. Sin surely reap the consequences, no matter how "small" sin, according to his view. In the presence of God, there is no small sin or big sin, all sin is an abomination before God the Most Holy. Faithfully confess every sin and leave it, life would have experienced a recovery and continuous renewal resembles the image of Jesus Christ's perfect.
