1 John 4: 18
A New Power - This story gives us an idea: Boat disciples was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against them. Approximately three hours of the night, Jesus came to them walking on the water. When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying: "It's a ghost!" And screaming in fear. But Jesus immediately said to them: "Calm down! I. Do not be afraid! "Then Peter called out and said to him:" Lord, if thou then, bid me come to You walk on water. "Jesus said:" Come! "So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water to him. But when he felt the wind, he was afraid and began to sink and cried out: "God, help me!" Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, hold him and said: "O ye of little faith, why did you falter?" Then they got into the boat and the wind ceased. (Matthew 14: 24-32)
Peter did not walk on water with the thought "I'm sure I can", but with the thought, "I know I can not, but I know God can." Two very different way of thinking. We are given the ability by God and a lot of things we can do, but there will be times where we have to do something that we can not do alone. Only by relying on God's power we can. Similarly, in building relationships with other people. There will be times where we will give up. But when we rely on God, he was able. He will give us the power to do something impossible, like love those who do not deserve to be loved.
Inspiration: God never commands us to do something which he would not authorize us to do so.
Moment of Inspiration.
