I will hold enmity between thee and the woman, between thy seed and her seed; offspring will crush your head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15)
A year Bible reading:
Deuteronomy 8-10
He Keeping Promises - "We want proof, not promises!" We often hear this appeal leveled against government officials chosen by the citizens. During the campaign, they spread various promises to persuade the citizens choose them. However, after occupying positions in government, they are negligent keep that promise. People feel cheated because of the promise of the authorities is not proven.
Thankfully, God is faithful to His promises. He must keep it. One proof is His spoken word in the passage today. God fulfills this promise when the Word became flesh (Jn. 1:14). Although it has been over five thousand years after He said, God does not neglect his promises. Disputes between the seed of the serpent and the woman that resulted in the death of Jesus on the cross. And indeed, Jesus crushes the head of the devil (Heb. 2:14). Although the woman's seed crushed heel, the resurrection of the Word of the death negate the curse of death (1 Cor. 15:55). The Lord proved that His promise is not nonsense.
Remembering God's faithfulness to His promises, does that make us fear for the future? Did He has promised to be with us, believers, until Christ comes a second time? Humans can deny his vow, but God never fails to fulfill his word. He is always and definitely go straight promise! Shall we doubt the faithfulness of God and equated him with humans? -ay
Nothing is more certain than the faithfulness of God in fulfilling the promise.
