Celebrate Christmas, Give Priority To Christ

Luke 2:8-20

After the Angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go to Bethlehem to see what's going on there, as told by God to us." (Luk. 2:15)

Celebrate Christmas, Give Priority To Christ - Amid the flurry of herding cattle, the shepherds visited the angels that tells the events of the birth of Jesus. The shepherds might be considered as a lower class of society. But who would have thought they even get visit the heavenly angels. How their attitudes and responses? The flurry of sheep were left, and they immediately headed to Bethlehem to witness firsthand what it preached.

There is a priority here. In relation to prioritize the glory of the Lord, a minimum of required three important things:

The sacrifice of time. How long do they have to walk towards to Bethlehem could not be estimated. Clear that the longing for Jesus that very large, making them forget how much time is wasted. The same principle, it should be our priority. Give time to pay attention to spiritual things, including Fellowship in worship celebrations of Christmas. Nowadays, many Christians more time taking care of Christmas party but there is no time to hear and reflect on the Christmas news. Completely upside down.

The sacrifice of power. Not that they don't want to Bethlehem because of a very weary and tired, because it is their work flock day and night. But this is not a reason for them. How many Christians no longer to church on Christmas day because it tired? Like a tailor father, once asked, "why the father didn't get to church on Christmas day?" la else replied, "no Overnight sleeping due to sewing a lot of clothes." Again again turned upside down!
The sacrifice of material. The shepherds should definitely pay to to Bethlehem. Of course there is that we dedicate and sacrifice so that others can see and accept Jesus as his Savior and Lord.
Inspiration: for the sake of spiritual life and safety of a person, there must be a priority action that demands we must pay the price.
