I Came So that They Have Life

"I am come that they may have life, and have it in all its fullness." (John 10: 10b)

I Came So that They Have Life - In a discipleship group meeting, group members often convey the struggles they experienced and not a few of them were in tears, because God is with them to overcome the challenges faced and won.

This is described in our reading today is an affirmation of Jesus the supreme shepherd and us as a flock. Jesus realized as a sheep that is placed in the midst of cruelty and ferocity of this world, we are His people to experience the kinds of challenges that can only bring down and destroy the lives of our Christianity. The challenge could be in the form of bid-offer tantalizing world that looks very interesting and fun even happy. But at the end of all the bids it is the destruction and death of our Christianity. This is what Jesus described the thief comes to steal and destroy. It can also be understood as an attempt of the evil to steal and destroy what we already have in Christ, such as the joy of life, hopeless and victorious in Christ that has become part of our living faith in Christ.

Part of our reading today reminds us that Jesus as the good shepherd came to give us life joyful, life hopeless and victorious, given His abound to live like that can be transmitted or distributed to others that living Christianity we can be multiplied to the lives of many people.

More broadly Bible gives an idea of the life that:

God gives life, Genesis 2: 7, Acts 17:28.
Maintaining Living God, Psalm 36: 7, Psalm 66: 9.
Life is in the hands of God, Job 12:10, Daniel 5:23,
Life is destroyed by sin, Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3: 17-19.
Jesus gives us abundant life, John. 10:10.
Thus, we must surrender our lives radically to God who has guaranteed our lives (Matthew 10:39, Luke 14:26, Acts 20:24).

Inspiration: The believer who has experienced the life of faith in Christ with abundant multipliable life for many people.

Moment of Inspiration.
