Galatians 5: 1-12
Independence Must be Maintained - As believers, we must be sure that we have liberated through the death and resurrection of Christ ('1). When the devil came to seize independence, we are commanded to resist (1 Peter 5: 8). And take the whole armor of God. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against the rulers, the world forces of darkness / demons in the air (Ephesians 6: 12-13). When the last of Paul advises:
Stood tall belted truth; it means we have to work / strive and live right before God, and not deviate to the left and to the right.
Wearing armor of justice; it means we have to live in God's justice. We rightly punished, but we got the grace to be saved. Therefore redeeming grace to withstand stronger than any temptation of the evil one.
Using shoe willingness to preach the gospel; means quickly stepped serve / preaching in all circumstances, because it is the power of God unto salvation.
Using the shield of faith; means the total confidence of the death and resurrection of Christ is in us.
The helmet of salvation; means we use all the gifts given by Christ in his saving work.
Whereas when attacked Paul advises that we are redeeming the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God that destroys terrible ploy of Satan. Let us therefore continue to resist the attacks of the evil one and make sure Jesus Christ as its commander. Moreover, let us keep our freedom and proclaim to the world that Jesus Christ is central to true independence.
Inspiration: Resist and defeat the devil at all times with the power of faith in Jesus Christ, and proclaimed his name because he is central true independence.
