Philippians 3: 15-16
No form of life that naturally brothers more than the commitments you make. You can develop a civil commitment or commitments can damage a brother, but somehow, whatever the commitment will determine the direction of your life. Say you commit to anything, and I'll tell you what will you reap the next ten years. We become whatever is based on our commitment.
At present many people committed to the wrong thing. Many people lose God's purpose for his life. Some people are afraid to take their commitment and drifting alone through periods in his life. While others will make a half-hearted commitment, and they will face a life of frustration and mediocrity over the next ten years. Others will make a full commitment to worldly goals, such as becoming rich or famous, and finally experiencing disappointment and bitterness.
Every choice you make has lasting consequences, so you should choose wisely. Peter warns, "So, all these things will be destroyed in this way, how holy and godly lives you should be!" 2 Peter 3:11
Spiritual growth is not automatic. It takes commitment to be intentional. You must have the desire to grow, decide to grow, trying to grow and survive in growth. Discipleship - the process of becoming like Christ - began with a commitment to follow Jesus no matter where He leads you.
Motivation: Let Jesus shape your life this decade. Imagine what your life in the next ten years? Make a full commitment to him now.
