Serve With Heart

"But it displeased Jonah, and he was angry."

Jonah 4: 1-11

Serve With Heart - Jonah turned a blind eye to the people of Nineveh, including those shipmates. In such circumstances, God sent a warning. First, hurricanes and major storms occur (1: 4). For their estimate of hurricanes and storms can not exist. So they set sail. Second; Jonah awakened from sleep and the ship's captain told Jonah cried for help to God Jonah (1: 6). This incident was very funny because the one who does not know God reminds a prophet to cry out to God.

Time Jonah thrown into the sea, a big fish to swallow you alive. Jonah in the belly of the fish finally converted. He was for 3 days and 3 nights in the dark. Jonah spewed out healthily. Arriving in the city of Nineveh Jonah preached that another 40 days Nineveh will be overturned (3: 4). After hearing the preaching of Jonah, the king, adults, children, all the animals to fast and repent. After a successful ministry in Nineveh, Jonah back mad at God and ask die (4: 3) because he did not expect the people of Nineveh repented (4: 5). To entertain hot Jonah, God made a tree within that Jonah does not overheat.

What about us, whether we cover their ears when the Lord's command and closing the mouth to testify? Or do avoid and said: "Leave it alone, later as a result of their own responsibility!" Or we serve them but is accompanied by a hot heart? If it happens, let's take a self introspection and reject attitudes like Jonah. Because the Lord Jesus wanted the gospel of salvation must be preached everywhere, even where we are, there are people who never threatened or hurt us.

Inspiration: God does not see the status of the liver but is ready to serve even in a tough spot.

Moment of Inspiration.
