Preach the word; be ready always well or not well timed, expressing what is wrong, admonish, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. (2 Timothy 4: 2)
A year Bible reading:
numbers 3-4
Testifying is Beautiful - That morning I took the car to a car wash church. While waiting, I chatted with a father who was also waiting. At first we mince words to comment on some of the cars were being washed. The conversation continued to ask each other's work. The father looked surprised when he knows I am a pastor. Soon, the father was telling who he is and his desire to return unchurched after converting to another faith. Apparently he was upset because he felt no real conviction. To church does not, run the worship not. That conversation gave me the room to testify.
To Timothy, Paul gave a series of practical advice. First, that Timothy is always ready to provide the truth of God's word and, of course, express the love of God. Second, boldly declared right is right and wrong is wrong, and dare to admonish those who deal wrong with patience and teaching in accordance with the truth of the Word.
This advice is also addressed to us all. Sometimes we feel unprepared and not sensitive to the opportunity to speak and express God's love. Unpreparedness it could be because we are not smart enough to speak.
This advice would encourage us to hone our sensitivity on that occasion. The rest, leave it to the guidance of the Holy Spirit that enables us to proclaim the word, showing God's love, and reveal the truth. -AAS
The holy spirit is always giving us a chance and an opportunity to proclaim the love and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
