I Do Not Care

"Be not afraid, I will bear eating and eating for your children too." Thus he comforted them and comforting them with words. (Genesis 50:21)

Reading the Bible in a Year:
Exodus 26-28

I Do Not Care - Hudson Taylor was a missionary in the interior of China. When the journey from Shanghai to Ningpo suddenly he heard something splash into the sea. He ran to the deck and a passenger, Min, was not there. In a daze, he saw the fishermen who have a net drag (the right tool to be used at the time). "Come here. Pull nets you skip this place. There are people drowning here, "said Taylor. "I do not care. It was not a pleasant job, "replied the fisherman. "Do not talk about the fun. Leave first, I will pay you. "After haggling and Taylor was willing to give all his money, they let down the nets to attract Min, but his life is hopeless.

In this world many people indifferent and selfish. Maybe we denounce the fishermen. But how does our attitude towards the millions of people who walk towards destruction and fettered by suffering and sin? They sink into despair and alienation. They were imprisoned and shackled by revenge, envy, and anger.

Like Joseph who saved his family from death by starvation, so we should behave. Joseph had a reason to be do not want to know what happened to his brothers because of their treatment of him, but he did not do it. Joseph did not just save them from starving, but it also freed them from fear and guilt deep. -PRB

Aware of the goodness of God encourages us have mercy on those who suffered and lost.
