Luke 5:1-11
"When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down before him and said:" Lord, go from me, because I am a sinner. " (Luke 5:8)
Christmas Look Inside - John Newton, a slave ship captain, completely aware that he is a sinner in need of the Saviour. The hardness of his heart long enough, has made him feel good people and don't have to deal with God. When facing the challenges of a cruise, he realized himself a sinner. It is also revealed from the song known as one of the most preferred world hymn, Amazing Grace, which were in part reads, "I once was lost, but now I am found, was blind but now I see." Indeed the grace of forgiveness of the Lord so magical for people who are willing to confess their sins. Experience and recognition of Newton is similar to Simon Peter himself, when in the sea of Galilee. Once aware of who is Jesus, and he was aware of who he was. He looked into her heart (introspection), that he is a sinner. How could Peter be able to know himself a sinner? This is the uniqueness of Christ. He is a God who is all-knowing, he knows Peter and powerful change in heart.
In Christmas sermons, what percentage of that challenge people to see him sinless? How many people who profess himself a sinner and come bertelut in the presence of the Lord? This important question is contemplated for many Christians there is no signs of repentance. In fact so many criminal cases often happen in moments of celebrating Christmas. I remember in the 1980s, on the night of 25 December, a group of young anka suddenly destroyed by fire because of his car exploded. They bermabuk binge while other people are worshipping. The word of God insists, "don't go astray! God does not allow himself being played. What soweth, that will reap (GAL. 6:7)
The motivation: to provide time to help others, to make them aware of himself a sinner and accept the Lord Jesus personally
