Because you do not believe me and do not respect my holiness before the eyes of Israel, which is why you will not bring this congregation into the land which I am giving to them. (Numbers 20:12)

Leviticus 16-18
Not Commanded - Prior to the market, an employer ordered the maid to wash clothes. The maid then sweeping, mopping, and cleaning the house. The master's house to be clean, but dirty clothes are still piled up. Home from the market, employers grumpy look dirty clothes have not been washed. The maid worked, but not in accordance with the orders of the employer.
When it is difficult to get the water, the Israelites quarreled with Moses. God told Moses to take his staff and "speak" to the rock in order to provide the water (v. 8). However, Moses took up the baton, then "hitting" the rock twice (v. 11). God told Moses, "said" to the rock and not "hit" him. Moses acted, but not in accordance with God's command. Therefore, God did not allow Moses into Canaan (ay.12).
In other cases, God told Saul to quell the Amalekites and kill them all (1 Sam. 15: 3). But Saul save Agag, king of Amalek, and sheep and oxen and fattened best (1 Sam. 15: 9). Consequently, God rejected Saul as king (1 Sam. 15:23).
We need to learn to fully obey the Lord's command, instead of modifying the order was followed our will and for the sake of self-indulgence. Indeed, listening to and obeying it is better than the sacrifice (1 Sam. 15:22). Through the prophet Ezekiel, God promised to give you a heart of flesh that we may walk in my statutes and ordinances faithfully (Ezek. 11: 19-20).-IN
Do not change the order of the Lord according to our wishes; adjust our desires with God's commands.
