Jesus not only expect, but preparing Peter to stay strong in the face of temptation. Jesus knew Peter would fail. He did not pray that Peter denies Him void, but he prayed that Peter's faith should not fail. Jesus also stated his expectations, so that Peter can come back from difficult times that experienced by a stronger condition. Jesus hopes that the difficult times experienced Peter not only will make it more powerful-in faith and mental-but also can strengthen others.
In this life, although we are experiencing difficult times, God will not let us down. Instead he hopes we can be stronger after a difficult period was over, so we can help others who are going through hard times as well. If today we are allowed to experience the struggles, failures, or fall into sin, accept the strengthening of faith and the spirit of God. Immediately got up and be strong, because the Lord wanted to use our lives to helping others. -GHJ
