Matthew 6: 1-4
True service - I read an incredible story about a character who is very influential Christians that DL Moody, in a book entitled "A Call to Excellence" by Gary Inrig.
One group pastors from Europe came at a conference organized by the Bible Seminary DL Moody in Massachusetts in the 1800s. Following the customs of Europe at that time, everyone took off his shoes outside the room to be cleaned by the servants at night, of course, because it is in America, there are no servants who shined shoes like that. At night when Moody stroll outside, he saw the shoes, he did not want to embarrass the men. He said that he needed a shoeshine to students there, but all are reluctant to commit and ignore. He returned to the shoes, he collected, he was taken to his room, and that night the famous evangelist, alone in his office polishing shoes of European priests. Only the arrival of a friend who suddenly opened his office to this story.
Foreign guests when it opens his door in the morning, the shoes had shiny. They do not know who shine their shoes. Moody did not convey to anyone, but his pass on to some friends only, and during the conference, some people secretly shoe polish guests at night.
Wow, a story of remarkable humility. Many of us want to be a great servant of the Lord. We want the name and remembered our work. Let us remember the truth about the true service. Jesus is not just cleaning slippers, but washed the feet of his disciples were dirty.
Motivation: Let us do service to others with humility. Find God's praise is not praise of men.
Moment of Inspiration.
