Proverbs 6: 1-19
Productive Life - There is a video depicting a man poorest in the world, only dressed in shorts from newspapers, sleeping in the dust with the paper covered, barefoot without sandals and even his toothbrush without water. Obviously he did not have a home, but moved around the place and nobody care about it. The question arises, whether the person is indeed the poorest due to lazy to work or other reasons? Maybe a lot of factors. But one definite cause of laziness. Lazy lazy to learn and work. If he was stupid because I was lazy to learn. If he is poor due to lazy to work.
Psychologically, laziness is a bad tempers in human life. The Bible even calls it a sin lazy. Proverbs writer described it as a person who likes to sleep or nap (ay.9-10). Contrast with ants, hard-working small animals, although no leads (vv 6-8). He did not have any sense as a human, but he has the instinct active. Supposedly the ant should be studied in humans, but the opposite happened, man must learn to ants. We are very impressed with the observation or study of the behavior of these small animals. Before biologists studied the Bible already talked about it. Then it is embarrassing when the ants can eat enough every day, while there are people who in days of famine. Ants never understand work ethic, but he worked hard to replenish her needs. Likewise sparrows, in the words of an interpreter, he also worked. He was given wings to fly and find food. If he does not fly course meal will not come.
How to beat laziness? "Remove yourself like a gazelle rather than catch, like a bird out of the hands of the decoy!" So says Solomon (Proverbs 6: 5). Remove yourself ....! That means yourself should beat ourselves. Impoverished because lazy can only be defeated by those who live by the Spirit (Galatians 5:16). People who are led by the Spirit, always enterprising and dynamic, even enriching others, both physical and spiritual.
Inspiration: Leave laziness that causes poverty and be people who are actively working in order to enrich others.
