Persistent

The man replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself." (Luke 10:27)

Luke 10: 25-37

Persistent - In his ministry, Jesus often followed the scribes who generally have good motives. The scribes generally are considered and consider themselves to understand the truth. Specialized in this story, when seen answer to Jesus, it means he has often followed Jesus. Part of the answer is a quotation from Deuteronomy 6: 5, but already there is an additional 'with all your mind'. Additional 'intelligence' is an advanced progressive illumination or revelation that Jesus in the New Testament era when He was in this world (cf. Matt. 22:37). Surely this scribe was hardened against the Lord's teaching that Jesus should give a very striking illustration of feeling and logic with a Samaritan subject (the person who assessed Israel and impure mixture so despised and unclean at the time) were good natured.

We did not like the scribes ever against God before, but the model of such an attitude is not impossible can we live. As human beings living on this sinful nature, one of our personal struggles (in the guidance of the Holy Spirit) is continuous subjection and obedience to the truth in Christ. Indeed, our minds are heavy battlefield in obeying God.

Indeed whatever the conditions of work and life, love and power of God never changed or reduced. Which is a challenge we are we should not limit it to suppose and justify themselves. God provides wisdom is more than enough to win over temptation when we surrender. When we bow our heart, mind, will and feelings in the sovereignty of God, God must be able to help.

Motivation: Violence liver inhibit the growth of our knowledge of God and hinder the blessing, beware!
