Perhaps the mother was tired from a long journey and because of the slow wait for the ship to dock but he was like getting extra power because hopes to meet his favorite child. Exult in hope of the encounter with the Father in eternity can provide extra power for us to live today.

Secondly, glory in tribulations (Romans 5: 4). At present you may experience challenges, trials, unfair treatment, difficulty in getting a job, and others but learn to boast in difficult situations because God can use difficult situation for your good. Besides, if you diligently facing difficulties then you will be personally resilient form.

Third, boast in the atonement (Romans 5:11). We have good reason to rejoice in the work of reconciliation that Christ has done. By whom we have received the atonement past we are enemies of God because of our offenses and sins. We should wrath and destruction. But because of the grace of God, He has reconciled us to Himself and will continue to do so. Thus no longer can accuse us before Him.
