God's Faithfulness

God's Faithfulness - Romans 3: 1-8

"So what if some of them were unfaithful, infidelity can it cancel the faithfulness of God?" (Romans 3: 3)

There are two kinds of loyalty. If it keeps loyal servant to his master so he can be called a faithful servant. Such loyalty is loyalty resulting from an act or deed. This loyalty is not permanent because if it was not a faithful servant then again so naturally he lost the title as the faithful servant. God's faithfulness can not be compared with the servant above loyalty. God's faithfulness is a trait or attribute of His eternal. God's faithfulness is eternal. God's faithfulness is not determined or influenced by anything and anyone.

Perhaps you ask: What are the consequences if I am not loyal to God? In line with our text this question today is: "Can the unfaithfulness cancel God's faithfulness?" The answer is: "Certainly not!" (Romans 3: 4a). Why is that? Because God can not change the nature of his faithful. "If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for He can not deny Himself." (2 Tim. 2:13)

Most people think that they should not be afraid to sin because God is faithful to forgive sins. It is the same with a husband who is thinking of having an affair is not afraid because he knew that his wife remain faithful to him. This kind of thinking is very wrong because when we turn away from God to idols, evil and sin then act like this proves our hearts were not entirely to God. A loyal husband must not be betrayed to be unfaithful to his wife that is faithful to the Lord especially him. Anyway, we must remember that God must be faithful to forgive our mistakes and sins we commit against his will, but every sin will be consequences.

Inspiration: Be faithful always to the Lord because He is faithful to you.
