"Circumcise yourselves to the Lord and take away the foreskins of your heart, ye men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, lest My wrath raging like a fire, and blazing with no one to extinguish, because deeds are evil!" Jeremiah 4: 4
Blessing of Repentance - Then I will execute punishment upon them, because of all their evil, because they have forsaken me, to burn incense unto other gods, and worshiped the works of their own hands (1: 14).
Israel has turned from God even though he remains faithful to them. All believers are confronted with the same temptation, ie forget the kindness and redemption of God, even priests have been so insensitive to the presence and power of God so that they are not aware that he had left them.
Spiritual leader of today must be very concerned about the presence of God and the power of the Holy Spirit did not appear again in the church. Sin often incur penalties. When believers away from God, they lose the protection and blessing of God that is open to the various temptations of a destructive nature. Sin enslave them with much misfortune and destruction that can happen to them.
So if God's people away from God, the wrath of God will be declared as fire and no one put it (4: 4). To circumvent the great catastrophe that will befall them, the people of Judah should undergo a thorough moral renewal by returning devoted to truth, justice, and piety, repent of their sins and open their hearts were so loud it (paragraph 3). Crime in their hearts must be removed as they were when the foreskin circumcised.
