2 Peter 3: 11-18
The Apostle Peter reminds believers purify themselves so caught without blemish, in order to grow in the grace knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. What does it mean?
We know Jesus as revealed by the Word of God and the extent to which we can digest our finite minds. Therefore a lot of debate about who Jesus is. Throughout the history of Christianity even now, the debate about who Jesus is still going on. But the gratitude that the Fathers with full responsibility to try to understand the revelation of God in the scriptures.
Any layman can be different interpretations of the verse 18 "knowledge of the Lord and Savior". Some say it refers to two persons, namely Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Grammatically but Greece is not so, should be interpreted one person, Jesus Christ. Regardless of the debate, we all would agree with what Peter said that we do not yet know Him fully. We are still growing in grace in knowledge of Jesus. Perhaps attitudes or the way we treat him not as it should be, but His grace enables us to grow to be more familiar with him. Our ups and downs that life is not blameless when it is in the world. But He is with His grace to be patient, to forgive and help us to move forward in our journey of faith.
Motivation: Growth in knowing someone is determined by the intensity of our association with him. He is not a passive object and our subjects in this process. But each is the subject and object in relation to know each other and get to know.
Moment of Inspiration.
