Lost

Luke 19: 1-10

"For the Son of man came to seek and save the lost."

Zacchaeus was a success in terms of finance. He had a job that gave him a lot of money and power that had been pursued by the people of the world. However, although rich materially, Zacchaeus did not find happiness in mind. He was lonely, he tried to find the love and forgiveness of God. He heard about Jesus loving publicans and sinners. And he wanted to see Jesus by climbing a tree. With seriousness and sincere intention eventually he could see Jesus.

Like Zacchaeus, a lot of people around us who seem to be successful materially and smiling on the outside, but the lonely heart. Their lives are empty and they are searching for something to fill it. Fortunately Zacchaeus found:

Happiness that can not be obtained through money, he found in Christ.
Love can not be bought with riches, he found in Christ.
Acceptance that can not be gained through success, he found in Christ.
Forgiveness can not be exchanged for good deeds and donations, he found in Christ.
Salvation is not promised by any religion, he found in Christ.
The encounter with Christ makes someone who 'lost' can find the way. Zacchaeus was transformed into the humble and generous.
