His prayer is an Abomination

Proverbs 1: 20-33; 28: 9

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination. (Proverbs 28: 9)

At one time there congregation pray furiously for God to punish people who they hate. But God does not hear prayers in hatred, even demons can take a chance with arranging events that seemed to give amines in their prayers to harm these people.

Paragraph afterthought today gives a perspective of prayer in God's justice. But the concept is not God reacts to the action of man for the Lord God has given laws and regulations to humanity. Matthew Henry commenting on this verse, that if we reject God's laws, the justice of God requires him not to answer even consider cruel to our prayers. This principle is very clear and fair. Now the pondering is how deep we are "rejecting God's laws so that our prayers become an abomination? In His love, God gives his word in the form of a very complete Bible translation in trending. Very much part of the word that is very clear and practical. Although dig as deep as possible to the original language and the context it should be and is useful for finding great principles.

For example, "Rejoice always, give thanks in all things, pray fervently, do not commit adultery, do not steal, etc." is part of the word that is applicable and practical. Precisely these simple things that make us often fall and fail. Meanwhile, when we do not obey us precisely "demanded" to God that all our prayers are answered, taken for granted!

This passage teaches us to pray with responsibilities in humility. Our prayers must have heard, but we are not commanded to obey our God. It is we who must obey, obey, and serve Him. When we need the strength to obey Him, God leads us to submit to his sovereignty.

Motivation: Let us pray with a pure heart according to the word of God, not by hatred.

Moment of Inspiration.
