Do not easily promise

Matthew 26: 30-35

"Peter answer-" Even if they all fall away because of you, I never. "

"Talking is easy, but practice hard." These words are often directed at people who are not consistent with his words. Such a person is hard to believe. Many losses even collapse occurred just because of mere words. Peter is known as the disciple who likes to stand out. He did not just say that his faith will not be shaken, but also dare to deny Jesus many times in front of the crowd. His remarks were impressed as gibberish, it makes it more difficult. He is at war with itself. The power of the flesh is so entrenched in his heart. As a result he was not calm, and clear emotional hurt God. Actually, he must deny himself, even denying Jesus. When considered words, we can see that in fact not at all times but once in a while does not. May it never be shaken, in fact many times. We do not know how many Christians of this kind, but certainly there are even a lot.

Determination or pledge allegiance to God that we often said, was tested by the daily facts. Loyalty and obedience of a believer is not the result of one's own power, but the power of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit enables us to do what can not be done by our sinful humanity. So it is not surprising that Paul spoke at length about the role of the Holy Spirit in our spiritual warfare (Romans 8: 1-17).

Much earlier, King Solomon had already warned that in the multitude of words there must be a violation (Proverbs 10:19). Now, back to Peter, what happens then? He changed completely, becoming an apostle who does not talk nonsense, but the courage to act even though there is a risk (cf. Acts 4: 19-20). What about the words and actions during this time?

Inspiration: Declare a determination became a reality in practice, not the effort of the flesh but by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Moment of Inspiration.
