An incoming SMS to my phone. As if from a student who asked accompanied loneliness. Instead of feeling happy, I even imagine a con man eyeing me to serve as prey. The sender would not know me. The temptation to sin can enter through many doors. The goal worldliness in us, namely lust and evil desires. The Apostle Paul taught two ways to deal with it.
First, by looking and thinking of heavenly things. Secondly, by no longer live like the old man. In Christ, we have died to sin. When faced with temptation, we do not need to respond to it, just like a dead person does not react to the surrounding environment.
