"But someone draw his bow with a recklessly alone, and the king of Israel between the harness connections." (2 Chronicles 18: 33 a)
Accidental? - "Incidentally, when I'm needed a ride, there is a friend who suddenly passed." Or: "Incidentally, in the last moments of his life, I could see her and preach Christ to him." How often do we say the word coincidence? Webster's dictionary defines a coincidence as "something that happened as a result of encouragement unknown or unthinkable."
The story in 2 Chronicles 18: 1-34 also tells something that seems like a coincidence. King Ahab was prophesied by the prophet Micah that he will be killed in battle at Ramoth-Gilead. It seems he was so cleverly to avoid the prophecy was a ploy. He asked Jehoshaphat wearing oversized clothes, while he himself is transformed. Surely Ahab hoped to escape from Syria troops target.
Apparently it worked. See, the commander of the army of Syria that has been ordered by the king not to fight recklessly, but only against the king of Israel, misled. He thought that wearing oversized Jehoshaphat was king of Israel, Ahab. They immediately surrounded the Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat are like eggs at the tip of the horn was called out to God, and God saved him.
Then it happened by chance. There is someone who carelessly draw his bow, and about Ahab. Ahab could not get out of the battlefield, until he died, as he had foretold the prophet Micah.
Subtle trick Ahab lost by a coincidence.
We may have heard the phrase: "Your arms are too short to fight against God." Ahab became one of the proofs. Plan and ordinance of God, will never be defeated by strategy, strengths and any effort of man. For those of us who believe in Him and walk in His plan, it becomes a tremendous comfort.
