Three Principles of Giving

Read: 2 Corinthians 9: 6-15

Each man should give what he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Corinthians 9: 7)

A year Bible reading:
Deuteronomy 21-23

Three Principles of Giving - After nearly three years of marriage, my wife admits that nothing has changed in me, especially in terms of giving. He used to see me among those who somewhat stingy and very calculating, including the giving of offerings. Honestly, sometimes I am less willing when making offerings. I also never felt sad after giving, especially after giving considerable amounts according to my financial ability.

Speaking about the offerings, sometimes God's people only focus on the administration of the dose. Indeed, the Bible records that the person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. Instead, the person who sows generously will also reap generously (v. 6). However, it is equally important that you view the condition of the heart when we give. There are three principles that we need to consider in giving. First, give with full compliance, because we are giving to God. Second, do not give reluctantly because we are not lost, but are sowing. Third, do not give out of necessity. It's better to postpone to give than we give out of necessity.

Cheerful giver can not be separated from the three principles above. A person could not give with joy if he is not willing, grieve, what else if forced. It is not easy to do the three principles above, but also not impossible. What about the condition of our hearts for this when giving? -GHJ
People who give with joy will reap abundant blessings.
