Always Ready

Read: 2 Timothy 4: 1-8

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4: 7)

A year Bible reading:
Joshua 20-21

Always Ready - Ahead of executions of death row inmates, they were accompanied by the clergy to prepare for death. Before midnight, since being picked up from the isolation room to the location of the execution until the handover to the firing squad, they prayed together and encourage one another. They prepare themselves for knowing when they will face death.

People who are not sentenced to death, on the contrary, do not know when it will face death. We must always be ready for death can come at any time, to anyone, anywhere. Victim aircraft is missing or has an accident, for example, certainly did not expect that day to pick their death.

Death always leaves a question mark because that is where we will have a new life and there we were promised crown of life. Question our readiness to be important because of it. The Apostle Paul taught Timothy to be temperate in all things, long-suffering, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill the ministry (v. 5). He sees that death sooner or later it will come as an opportunity to live a life centered on God, for the sake of His Kingdom. He devoted his life to serving God and tell the truth despite heavy resistance. When eventually the death of the pick, he may welcome him in faith (vv. 7-8). What about us? -IN
Ignorance about the coming of death motivates us to constantly prepare ourselves in faith.
