The Lord is My Victory

"Do not lean my heart to evil, to do wicked deeds along with those who committed crimes; and do not I taste their delicacies. "

Psalm 141: 1-10

Two statements extreme we've ever read: First, "As a man of sin I can not help sinning when temptation comes." Secondly, I've been a Christian so I am not likely to sin again. "Which statement do you agree more? When this question was posed to a group of people, no one answered "both unacceptable." If such a statement as to what is more appropriate? More thoughtful answer is "The temptation is there, but I have the right to say," I do not have to sin. "Why? Temptation or trial anywhere, but what is important is our attitude. That is why the psalmist prayed that God would not let his heart inclined to evil. The word "skew" can be tilted to side or withdrawn (be drawn-NIV). The psalmist realized he could not control himself when temptation comes. Opportunity for David to compromise even late in the system of the world is always open. But he prayed that do not get there.

A father testified that to not do as the worldly ways in the business is not easy. He holds the principle that God will not allow His children. His efforts actually blessed with no worldly ways as do many people. God honors His children who dare to say 'no' to any temptation. The psalmist demand becomes a very precise example. "Do not lean my heart ...", which includes the thoughts and desires. Sometimes we ask God to bless our work or service, but rarely pray for victory over temptation. We are blessed with one's words, "In this world we are not looking for fun but victory." If people do not know the truth compromise with untruth, it's logical is not it? Now, when believers were already drawn, then it becomes illogical. Joseph became a big problem if he is not careful in the palace of Potiphar. Daniel failed as a servant of God, if only he compromise with the system in the palace of Babylon.

Inspiration: Pray that do not fall into temptation is logical for every believer.

Moment of Inspiration.
