Psalm 140: 1-14
Demonstrations rejection of rising fuel prices lately, on the one hand is not at issue in a democracy now, as long as it is not accompanied by violence or anarchism. Violence manifested by the destruction of public facilities, even life-threatening human will hurt everyone. Indeed, violence has always come from the heart and the human mind, as evidence of the fall of man into sin. And it turns out the attitude and behavior has also been highlighted by the psalmist in his day. The wicked, in the sense of people who do not know the truth, always think and act out of love. In the preceding paragraphs, the wicked is an evil man, who devise evil in the heart, warmongering, such as poisonous snakes or in open graves (ay.2-4; Romans 3:13).
Threats of violence or crime has been haunting and disturbing the tranquility of many people of all time. People who live in the truth was not immune from these challenges. When the psalmist says, "Keep me ..." he acknowledges that God alone who care about the safety and security of His children. Therefore, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5: 7). In other translations say, "Leave all your anxiety on Him, because it was he who care about you." He promised to maintain and overshadow any of his people (Psalm 121: 5).
Threats and pressure of an increasingly complex world occurred in various parts of the world. Precisely the more security facility, the more crime everywhere. The question we, "should people believe fear?" Is David himself was afraid that he wrote this psalm? David was courageous, there is no fear in him. Remember, he dared to face Goliath with faith. But as a human being limited he needed God, as the protector and preserver of his soul. We did not need to fear, but we certainly should be wise in all things. We do not hang out with bad people, but we need to pray even serve them.
Inspiration: When a person feels able to walk on his own he did not rely on God's help. Maintenance of God only real for those who seek Him.
Moment of Inspiration.
