John 8: 12-20
Light and Dark Can not Unite - The human condition at the time of Jesus, many people who experience despair and seek help to be free of heavy pressure. There is also a life full of lies and self-serving, fear of God does not exist and live in sin enjoyment and pleasure world filled with darkness.
In the midst of this situation, Jesus appeared and said to the crowd: "I am the light of the world; Whoever follow me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life "(John 8: 12). Jesus' words are going to explain to his disciples that he is able to lead everyone into the light path. And in Him there is only light, and for each of His disciples will be a light to the world (Matthew 5: 14).
Jesus' words also we have heard, but should not merely hear. But we must respond and expressed in our daily lives, in order to illuminate the darkness of the human heart around us. We must be present as the living word and boldly proclaim the truth of God in the midst of wickedness and darkness of the world. Never light within ourselves is hidden (placed under a bushel or under the bed), so be vague, but be placed on a lampstand / cap, which is in a high place (Mark 4: 21) in order darkness of the world around us can become true and bright. Truth and holiness of life we anticipated crowds so that through us all the glory to the Lord Jesus.
Inspiration: As followers of Christ we must live in the truth of God because only in this way we can be referred to as children of light.
