Acts 10: 1-8
Godly leaders - Winston Churchill (1874-1965) was a statesman, and author British officer. He had become Prime Minister. He has been knighted and also the Nobel Prize in literature. At the beginning of taking office, he told the people that he can only give "blood, hard work, tears, and sweat." Apparently every officer must be a spirit of true sacrifice is not it?
This time we met a Roman centurion, Cornelius, who is recorded as a pious, even the fear of God and her household. Not only that, he was known generous and like to give alms to the Jewish people. One remarkable thing, he likes to pray. Generally the officers, as the ranking, it is difficult to have a character like Cornelius, Italian regiment officer, spiritual, humble and generous. Good spiritual life marked by an attitude of arrogant and selfish. The proof, as he welcomed Peter, he fell down to worship Peter (Acts 10:26). He was a Gentile confronted God with the Jews. Here also Peter understood that God is no respecter of persons (v. 34). We were amazed is his heart wants to worship God. He did not inherit the bad character of some of the Roman emperors, such as Nero arrogant and cruel. It is clear that Cornelius illustrates an exemplary leader.
Now that our nation is in a fairly complicated problems. Unscrupulous leaders polluting the nation's noble function and position lap. They should do something for the state maximum, but the opposite happens. Not to do anything already dealing with the law. Should this happen to those who fear Allah? Is there a person on trial for pious, generous and humble? Maybe there because of the subjective factor, but logically it is not.
So many say that our problem is located in humans (human resources) and not on natural resources (SDA) it. The failure of many physical development caused by the failure of mental and spiritual development. Given this reality, who do we want to blame? Now we should not look back but let's look ahead. As believers, we continue to pray that more and more national leaders are devout, hard-working and devoted, loving the nation, especially loved the Lord.
Inspiration: God entrusts functions, duties or position to his children, wherever they may be, to do the maximum for his glory.
Moment of Inspiration.
