If there is malicious intent in my heart, of course, God does not want to hear. (Psalm 66:18)

Mark 10-11
Does God listen to every prayer that raised the human race? Usually people will quickly replied "Yes". However, today we are going to contemplate the possibility that the Lord was not willing to listen to our prayers. At least, that is what is believed by the psalmist in today's readings.
The psalmist Psalms series started with a call to praise, exalt, and glorify God because of the awesomeness of his deeds. He then continued with his own personal experiences (vv. 9-15) — experiences that gave birth to the understanding of God, who wants a purity in the hearts of his people. If there is malicious intent in their hearts, God certainly does not want to hear. Wow! We might wonder, "could the prayers with the condition there is malicious intent in your heart?" The answer: probably! The condition of the human heart that is fragile, easily torn, and not rarely harbored hurt, envy, hatred and bitterness rooted makes us able to offer with malicious intent in it.
Malicious intent in your heart so often we don't realize. Only God, through the work of the Holy Spirit, who helps us in our weakness and pray for us to God (ROM. 8:26). When we allow the Holy Spirit works in our hearts, we will soon be able to tell when there is malicious intent in your heart, that need to be immediately cleaned up. So, is there still no malicious intent in our hearts? Dealt with immediately so that our prayers are not bothered! — GHJ
