The offerings are flawed

"Give the best because God has given the best ..." is a snippet of a song often sung when we make offerings in the event of certain fellowship or worship. The best offerings are not seen from the large but of the attitude of the heart which is owned by the giver. The Lord Jesus never taught about giving offerings through the example of the rich and the poor widow. (Luke 21: 1-4).

In the Old Testament, the Israelites were taught about how to give offerings pleasing to God, which is one of the offerings of the victim without blemish (Leviticus 1: 3). However, Malachi found that Israel had insulted God by giving offerings disabilities. They did not honor God, Father, Lord and King. Even the priests had been blasphemous in carrying out their duties in a burnt sacrifice the people of Israel were not properly selected. Bread blackened and deformed animals sacrificed, whereas the priests have understood how to sacrifice pleasing to God. As a result, the Lord bring a curse upon them. In chapter 2 is clear what kind of curse will befall them.

Brother, our Lord is a great King who feared nations. Our respectful attitude toward him should be reflected in our offerings to Him. In the New Testament, Romans 12: 1-2 teaches that the sacrifice pleasing to God is to present our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. Maintain sanctity of life every day is a gift that is pleasing to God.
