Significance of Jesus Christ's Sacrifice For Our Lives

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood and the blood that I have given to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls, for blood shall make atonement by means of lives" Leviticus 17:11

If you've ever tried to study the Bible, then you will probably have the same reaction to most Christians in general when reading the book of Leviticus that asks questions about the sacrifice of animals. Ancient method regarding animal sacrifice as a means to perform prayer and worship that is written in the book of Leviticus that looks and sounds very familiar to us because at present it is no longer done. Have you ever imagine that you must bring a ram to be slaughtered every time you will pray for forgiveness from God and confess that you have done?

We all tend to leave all the blood sacrifice and think "Thank God, I do not have to do all that! But if we pass this part for granted, then we will not be able to see and understand what has been sacrificed by the Lord Jesus, the Savior so that we can be saved. We all know that Jesus' blood was shed as a substitute for our sins. We will never be saved if he died for us while he was sleeping because "without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness" (Hebrews 9: 22b)

"And almost all things are cleansed according to the law with blood, and without shedding of blood is no remission." Hebrews 9:22

The Israelites have things constantly remind them of the wages or consequences of sin through any sacrifices they have to do. But in the present, because they never do again offering the slaughter of thousands of animals, we often underestimate the safety that we get from God by not realizing what has he sacrificed so that we can obtain these safety.

All the suffering and crucifixion of the Lord Jesus who must go through an event that involves the shedding of blood and something heartrending. What must Jesus endured in order to save us from sin and offense we should make us weep because gratitude and infinite gratitude and deep respect on sacrifice for us. If the blood Jesus shed on Calvary that day, it is certain that we are all going to hell when we die separated from God for eternity.

Now, we no longer need to drag a sheep to be slaughtered as a sacrifice for sin and offense, we can rely on the Lamb of God who was willing to sacrifice himself to atone for all our sins. His blood has washed away all our sins so that we can enter into the kingdom of Heaven someday when the time comes. Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God who shed His blood to pay the penalty for all our sins and transgressions. How extraordinary salvation that He has given freely to us. How good our Lord! Inexhaustible we give thanks for all the love and infinite grace in our lives. Let us live by the safety of God with full responsibility and learn to become more like Jesus, our Savior.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. "Ephesians 2: 8-9

"O my beloved brother, you have always obeyed; Therefore, continue working out your salvation with fear and trembling .. "Philippians 2: 12a
