"I know your deeds: your labor and steadfast endurance. I know that you can not tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who call themselves apostles but are not, and have discovered that they are false.
And you remain patient and suffer because of my name; and have not grown weary.
Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
So remember what you have fallen! Repent and do again what you did at first. If not, I will come to you and I will remove your lamp stand from its place, unless you repent. "Revelation 2: 2-5
Being a follower of Christ is certainly an honor for us all. We can serve Him in our lives. Not only in church, but in family, work and in our environment, we can still serve the Lord. When we love our families, we also serve the Lord. When we work in earnest, we also serve the Lord. When we socialize and help our neighbors in the neighborhood, we also serve the Lord there.
Every action and behavior that reflects the love of Christ will be a blessing to those around us. When our friends are in trouble, we give comfort, encouragement and words of motivation so that he can bounce back from adversity. When we help people who are in trouble, they get the happiness of aid we give. And there are many more things we can do to be able to be witnesses of Christ in our lives.
But with the passage we follow the Lord, all the things we did initially with a fiery passion, eventually becoming a regular habit. And even become a dull habit for us to do. In the end we run all our services just as a formality, so that people see that we are still serving our neighbors both in the church, at work, in the neighborhood, family and others.
Physically we keep doing what is seen as a ministry or a minister the Gospel. But deep in our hearts is no longer the spirit, passion and longing in to run it. Even activities that we do in fact become a heavy burden for our lives.
"Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
So remember what you have fallen! Repent and do again what you did at first. If not, I will come to you and I will remove your lamp stand from its place, unless you repent. "Revelation 2: 4-5
One thing we need to remember that when we serve the Lord and His work, then we have to keep bringing Christ lives in our hearts. Spirit in us must always blazing so that any that we do can be a blessing for many people.
When we do so only as a formality or a regular routine, then we're in a position of retreat / away from God. By karen that we have to come back to God. We must improve our personal relationship with God. We have to get close again to God that the love of Christ can re-fill our lives.
Remember back when love at first that meets our lives. How excited we go through life at that time. The enthusiasm we serve God wherever we are.
"Draw near to God and He will draw near to you." James 4: 8a
God is always waiting for us to come back to Him. His hand is always open for us, even in our living conditions were bad though. Let's go back to the first love. Pray and ask God to renew us with a new love. Request that love restore and moisten our hearts begin to dry. Ask the Spirit can fulfill our life back and refresh our lives, so we got a new spirit in living our lives.
So many souls who need the love of Christ flow through our lives. So many souls are also still in the dark and need to be the light of Christ's truth emanating from our lives. Let's get back to the love of God and make our lives as a witness and example of Christ. Hallelujah!
"Therefore are they before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple. And He who sits on the throne will spread his tent over them.
They will not go hungry or thirsty again, and the blazing sun or heat will not befall them again.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. "Revelation 7: 15-17
