Difficulty: Pride! - There's a saying in this life in the form of strands of suffering. The problem for the sake of successive problems come. That one has not yet been completed, others are already coming. Even more often from a single, sequential, or synchronously. Life feels a lot more grief than joy contains. The excitement that happens often mere artificial, contrived, so impressed mocking and annoying. Why so pessimistic?

However, this turned out to be such a grim tone appeared also in the prayer of Moses. After recognizing the protection of God, immortality, and his sovereignty over time (v. 1-2, 4), he also acknowledges the impermanence and the vulnerability of human life (vv. 3, 5-10). In fact, Moses concluded that life is mostly in the form of "hardship and suffering" (v. 10). Uniquely, he called it a "pride". How can that be? Yes, because the life experience like that can make a strong man ("the pride" here the translation of the word rohib, which also means "strength"). Thus, according to Moses, we can be proud because we withstand hardship and suffering. Isn't he himself proved it in 40 years of leadership over the people of Israel that a stubborn?

Thus, tribulation and suffering turns out could be the pride and power of us, huh? Of course, it should have happened because we choose to follow God's way, not distorted and follow the path of sin (vv. 7-9, 11 and 15). Distress and suffering because life in truth, that's what strengthens us. HIS
