Matthew 2: 19-20
Obedience and Risks - When Joseph moved his family from Egypt he would feel uncomfortable, imagine how frightening for him to obey God's command to return to Israel. It feels like a return to the lion's jaw. He takes Mary and Jesus back to the place where his first life in danger. But because Joseph trusted God and what he is saying, Joseph took the risk and went there because he knew that it was the right place for him
The Bible says, "Even when I was scared, I still believe in you" (Psalm 56: 3 CEV).
Notice this verse, "when I fear" instead of "if I was afraid." We may want to live free from fear in this world, but it only happens in heaven. In this life, we will all face the fear of a wide variety of threats.
We have some fear of both large and small. We fear the future, we are afraid of what will happen with our job, what will happen to our families, and we are afraid of small things like whether we say the right thing to someone, whether my presentation goes well, even fear make phone calls.
In all these situations, you have the option to do. Are you going to let fear control you or you will take the risk and move with the faith because you know you have a God who loves you? It includes the risk of faith that you have to go to a place you've never visited before or forgive someone siblings thought inexcusable. Or means should leave your work. Risk faith can also pray about something or decide to trust Alah in difficult situations.
Motivation: What difficult situations or concerns you now? What to know Christ as Lord to give confidence to the brothers to take risks in the faith?
