Faith Immovable

Daniel 3: 13-18

"If the God we worship can release us, and he will deliver us from the furnace of blazing fire ... but if not, be it known unto thee O king that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up . "

Faith Immovable - In the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon when he brought the Jews became a prisoner of war in his country, there are three Jews who had important positions in the government of Nebuchadnezzar. They are Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego. As an important person in the kingdom of Nebuchadnezzar, they also are the people who live in the faith of God as taught by his ancestors. Once when Nebuchadnezzar had commanded that everyone within its remit must worship the gold statue made. Although they are in the king's power, but to 3 is not subject to the king's order to worship the golden image. Even when questioned by the king and offered a second chance to worship the statue, they stick to a commitment of faith that only God should they worship. They did not flinch one bit when he heard the threat to be thrown into a furnace with flames blazing for everyone who does not worship the statue. Instead the firm stand they submit a declaration of faith that only the living God they worship.

Faith of these three men, are not affected by the circumstances surrounding the threat even though. They still believe that only God worthy of worship and not a statue or made by human hands. A test of faith, the believer should be put in the position of firmness of faith and not in the attitude of excuse.

Inspiration: have strong faith and not faith drifting.
