Simon Peter was very prominent disciples. He witnessed Jesus' teaching, performing miracles, including healing the mother-in-law, and even raised the dead. He also has some experience not possessed all the disciples of Jesus, such as walking on water and watched Jesus was transfigured on the mountain. Towards the end of His ministry on earth, Jesus asked who he in the crowd and according to the students. Peter gave recognition that is so firmly that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus also praised him (vv. 16-17).

However, only an instant later, without realizing it, Peter became a tool of Satan. When Jesus began to preach the misery and death will be experienced Him to fulfill God's plan of salvation, Peter protested. Feel themselves more aware of God's plan, he "took him aside and began to rebuke him" (v. 22). However, Jesus was very firmly give one warning his loudest calling Peter as Satan.

Peter closeness to Jesus and all his spiritual experience does not necessarily make it understand God's will perfectly. In fact there are thoughts that are contrary to the mind of God. We too should learn to understand the word of God, even if sometimes it does not fit with our thinking, so that we do not become a tool of Satan who became stumbling block to work God.-HT
