Against thee, thee only, have I sinned and done what you consider evil that turns you fair in thy judgment, clean in your judgments. 7. Indeed, the mistake I was born, in sin my mother conceived me. 8. Indeed, you would deign truth in mind, and with the tacit wisdom thou tell me. 9. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow! 10. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you crushed cheering back! 11. Hide your face against my sins, blot out all my fault! 12. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit!
Do you feel guilty today or in the days that have passed? This week I feel guilty for not doing something that I should be able to do, stay up too late so that made my head dizzy, I have canceled visiting someone who was in the hospital. Guilt that may occur in our daily lives because we do not do something you should not, for example, has spoken offensive / hurt other people, has been excessively angry, do not control the tongue, too suspicious, too worried, do not open, dishonest , has been worried about something that does not happen, do not learn when going to school exams and others.
Is it guilt?
Guilt is a feeling that does not feel happy, do not feel there is peaceful and not peaceful. Feeling bad, wrong, worthless, feeling failure, embarrassed and lost because of a deed has been done. The psychologists found guilty feeling that arises because of the failure to achieve the standards of behavior that we have set for themselves. For example when we have disappointed or hurt someone, it is a bad behavior, or sin.
Then the solution is that we learn how to live well in order not to harm other people or anyone else. If we do this we certainly will not feel guilty. Such a view is to see that sin is a horizontal issue, namely the relationship between fellow human beings. In contrast to the biblical view, that sin has a vertical dimension, namely the human relationship with God.
Guilt it as has been done by David, is a sin. Sin that offends God. The Bible says that basically we are all guilty. "There is none righteous, not even one" (Romans 3:10). That is a mistake that is universal. In God's eyes every human being guilty, because humans tend to be willing to be led by God and rebel against Him.
What David has revealed this in Psalm 51, is a confession of David. The prophet Nathan was sent by God came to David in order to expose the sins of adultery that has been done David and murder had been planned / conducted by David, in the story of two Sam.12: 1-13. In this story, David had committed adultery with Uriah's wife Bathsheba, and because it was about to take her as his wife David deliberately plan and let Uriah died in battle.
"He wrote in the letter, said:" Put Uriah in the front line fighting the most severe, then you withdraw from him, so he killed dead ", 2 Sam 11:15. This is a murder plot made by David against Uriah died in battle. The point is that he could have Bathsheba, took it into his wife.
The prophet Nathan to David, and he reported to David about a rich man who took the lamb was the only possession of the poor to entertain guests rich man, then angry David, so that the rich man was put to death because they do not know mercy. Through the story of Nathan rebuked David that David is the man.
"Why do you insult God by doing evil in His sight?", 2 Samuel 12: 9a. David finally realized what he had done, the circumstances that made David became restless and unsettled, lives overwhelmed by guilt. What is not pleasing to God and the evil he had done. David felt his life was not comfortable anymore because he continued to be overshadowed by the sinful actions. He felt guilty, and his heart was not at ease. David wanted tranquility was back in her life, but it will not be obtained before he made a frank admission by fully to God. How did David overcome his guilt to bounce back?
There are 4 things done by David, namely:
1. Struggling against sin
David did not immediately converted when he had an affair with Bathsheba. Require some time until things he had done it becomes a struggle in his heart. After the prophet Nathan came to David and told the story about a rich man who stole a sheep from a poor, then David understood his mistake. Hearing this story David realized the evil he had done it.
To gain God's forgiveness and renewal of the mistakes and sin that has been done is not easy. Moreover, if a person has experienced salvation and then lapsed into a fault or a sin then it will probably experience a long spiritual struggle for experience repentance and restoration. Forgiveness is always there in God, that He wants is that we learn to be better again.
From David, we can learn that how frightening hurt after the holy God we are blessed by God. "Because I myself aware of my transgressions, I always struggled with my sin", paragraph 5. This is an awareness of personal responsibility for his mistakes. Words that often appear in the reading of the Word of God above is transgression, iniquity, and my sin.
David did not make excuses or defenses, and justification for himself why he had to sin. David also did not blame the circumstances that made the chance of that happening, he also did not question the lack of knowledge, or of necessity, because the temptation, he also does not involve Bathsheba who had to bear the guilt in adultery, so that even then murder occurred.
Mistakes made by David it is the responsibility of David himself. True recognition it is to admit his mistake by not trying to quibble. David did not want to stay continuously in sin, so he came to God to ask for forgiveness in order to be restored. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness" 1 John 1: 9
We must struggle against sin, because sin is against God. Do not let sin remain in our lives but opponents and fight it. Confront sin, by being open and honest in front of wishful Allah.J no hidden admit all the mistakes and sins to God. God must listen to all of our burden, because He is always faithful to us. He loves us.
Let sin and not admit it, this prevents us to enjoy fellowship and communion with God and with one another. People who deny or try to hide their sin, do not want to admit it, do not regret and leave it, it will not feel at ease in her life and will not grow spiritually. Forgiveness and mercy of God is available to everyone who wants to come to him earnestly to receive recovery. "He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy", Proverbs 28:13.
2. Recognize that sin is against God
When David realized the mistake he had done to the man, he also realized that it is primarily sin to God. The Word of God says that sin is an evil deed in the eyes of God. "Why do you insult God by doing evil in His sight? Uriah the Hittite, you let cut down by the sword; his wife you took as a wife, and he himself had been killed by the sword you let the children of Ammon ", 2 Samuel 12: 9.
Regardless of the actions of David against Bathsheba and Uriah her husband, then the action David ultimately is against God. "Against thee, thee only, have I sinned and done what you consider evil that turns you fair in thy judgment, clean in your judgments", paragraph 6. Daud make a confession to God that no errors had been hidden about done. "Sin is not my fault I tell Thee and hide; I said: "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord violations", and you forgive my sin, Psalm 32: 5.
Recognize and notify sin with a sincere heart and earnest will produce remission. With such recognition, if Allah impose punishment on sinners God should not be accused of cruelty. David acknowledges that God is just in all His decisions. Risks due to his sin was to be accepted by David as God's good intentions.
There is a risk that must be accepted by David as a result of his actions, who is the son who was conceived by Bathsheba was to plague by God so sick and eventually die. Even though David had fasted and wept to pray for God's mercy so that the child will live, but God remains decisions implemented. God wants to demonstrate His righteousness despite David's heart wounded by the death of the child, because David is very aware that God is a good decision whatsoever. Even though David was sad but he could not resist the will of God and the God of David accept decision as a good thing.
Therefore when his son died, David got up and bowed God. Daud continue to worship God in his heart when the wound is still there due to mistakes. "So David got up from the floor, he showered and lotions and exchange clothes; he went into the house of the Lord and worshiped ", 2 Samuel 12: 20a.
The error has risks that must be borne. Brother, if currently you are experiencing an illness, injury or suffering as a result of a mistake that has been done in the past consider it as a form of attention and love of God. Accept reasonable injured or suffering we endure it as the result of sin or our fault, but do not view it as an ongoing punishment, but look to it as a healing process that will take place later after we experience changes in our lives. If we realize that something we receive load / bear today is as a result of the mistakes and sins we have done, then it must be accepted as a fair judgment of God. Make it as a warning or as a wonderful memory for us to feel the love of God.
Do not be disappointed, do not despair, still worship him. He loves, loves even though we are sinners. Because we are not left to suffer forever. Precisely with acceptable risks that we can feel how much love and justice .God definitely provide the best again in the future according the process of changing the lives we live. He will transform a bad situation to be a kindness.
3. Recognizing the sinner need God's forgiveness
David admitted that from birth or birth she has a tendency to sin. David declares that man is sinful nature, in other words everyone that since the birth have a tendency to do a pleasure and want themselves, which can even cause others to suffer.
"Indeed, the mistake I begotten in sin my mother conceived me", paragraph 7. ".. blot out my transgressions according to Thy great favors! ', Paragraph 3. Eliminate meaning' scraped 'cleaned as a post abolished, so it is not visible anymore. "Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin!", Verse 4. Sin is seen as deeply engrained that require intensive treatment, namely by removing depleted sin so that being looked clean.
This sinful tendency can only be cleansed from our lives through the redemption in Jesus Christ who has paid, redeemed us by his death on the cross and by the Holy of Spirit. We need for God, because our efforts are just in vain if it were not for God's help to liberate us. Forgiveness given by God will restore us. Thank God for providing help it through His death on the cross. Therefore, anyone who comes and believe in Him will be saved.
4. Submission to God for renewed
We as believers are in need of God's Spirit inhabits us to create in us a heart that is always away and hates sin. The Holy Spirit will renew us to always miss and do the will of God in our lives. Only God can make us into a new creation and restore our lives. "Create in me a clean, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit!", Psalm 51: 12.
We must come to God and ask forgiveness because we have sinned against God. David acknowledges that the actual depth of that mistake as the human condition since birth. Only God can cleanse, only God can also carry out the recovery of the soul and body completely from the devastation and the consequences of sin. "Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow! Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you crushed rejoice! (Verses 9-10).
David would not feel calm before he expressed his sins before God. Sore feelings by remorse for his involvement in the murder of Uriah, David brought the shattered soul to God as an offering true. "Sacrifices to God are broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart you will not despise O God," Psalm 51:19. Without a broken spirit seems all the victims were not significant. After David made his confession, the prophet Nathan immediately announced the forgiveness of God. God forgave David and David was aware of the miracle of love and forgiveness that God gave her so beautiful on a very big mistake.
Not easy for David confessed his sin to God, but he struggled against the deepest expression of the heart to God even overwhelmed by shame, humiliated and broken by guilt. But he eventually rescued from despair-asan regret it by faith in God's love.
Impact of guilt was indeed very deep as feelings of rejection, inability to say no, the emergence of depression, anxiety, and loss of spiritual intimacy with God. We are not as the first feel. Do not run and punish themselves become victims of guilt, because if it is left to the despair and failure will come to us. The Bible has been recorded in the book of Psalms, about the image of despair that, "Because iniquity has come upon my head; like a heavy load they are too heavy for me ", Psalm 38: 5.
My brother, God understood the heavy burdens, and He provides a way to overcome it. By the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, He declared us not guilty and redeemed from sin. If we continue to hold on to the guilt that, then we seem more out of him, and we wasted a sacrifice that would die for us. God asks us to renew our minds with the truth of His Word to help us in order to avoid the rewards are not pleasant. State does not change but God will renew us with giving new strength and he will change our lives become a new person to Him, because although we sin but can be justified by Him because of our faith in Him to His love.
Emotionally we may live so long under guilt so as to punish yourself and do not feel there is more freedom to be good. Rise up, face the guilt, confess before God with an open, honest and ask for forgiveness from God and repent. Do not stop trying to be restored, dispose of despair and a sense of uselessness that it came to him because God is always waiting for us with the faithful. Surrender and ask for forgiveness from God. Devote all heart, pressures and burdens that press it. Howl, cry, cry out to God, He waited and listened. Bring the whole soul and broken heart to the Lord. God must relieve the burden and provide relief and release from all the heavy burdens that rest on it. God does not want to destroy his people, he always offers forgiveness if we will repent. Forgiveness was provided to all people, who even have sinned. "Though your sins be as red as kermizi, shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as white as wool, Isaiah 1:18.
If this had come to admit guilt to God with a sincere humility, forgiveness feel how much he gave it, feel how much love it. God is love. He loves God, loves the sinner. He missed the sinner come to him to be restored. The devil loves to discourage, and intimidate us as worthless sinners, now tell the devil that you have been freed and restored God. You have been freed, has been freed by the grace of God.
Walk as a child of God who have been pardoned. Discard shame that because only makes the gap in our relationships with others and God. Accept freedom from guilt that the love of God which is given through forgiveness. Arise as a winner who has been released and renewed in love. Walk in the light of the Word of God and the Holy Spirit, because in the Lord, that future real. "For surely there, and your hope will not be lost", Proverbs 23:18. God loves you.
,
"Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is near," Revelation 1: 3.
