Motivation is Wrong

If one wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all. (Mark 9: 35)

Mark 9: 33-37

Motivation is Wrong - Disciple of Jesus has taught nearly 3 years, but they do not yet know the mission of Jesus to the world. They have the wrong expectations, namely: would become ruler of the kingdom if he were already king. This wrong motives, raises bad competition between them because each felt the greatest / most powerful, they also quarrel / fight because for the position or positions.

After the incident, they gathered in Capernaum. Then Jesus asked them: "What are you talking about on the way?" Jesus heard this question, they paused and looked dumb. At the moment all was silent, Jesus said: "If someone wants to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all." Jesus also gives an overview to them by taking a boy who was there and said: "Whoever receives one child like this in my name welcomes me. And whoever receives me, not I who welcomed Him, but He who sent Me. "Here Jesus wanted to equate himself with small children who do not have anything, plain / sincerely so that they understand that the presence of a child far from being tendentious to get the position / positions.

Jesus' words into contemplation and introspection for us, because maybe we have the wrong motivation when to follow and serve Him, we can be crazy position / snobby / mad praise of man, crazy treasure and so on. If the wrong motivation inherent in our hearts, immediately repent and be faithful disciples, so that pupils can cause fruitful.

Inspiration: Do not have the wrong motives (crazy positions and respect) when to follow and serve Jesus, but have loyalty and sincerity serve wherever you are.

Moment of Inspiration.
