Exciting to Waiting

"And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come." 1 Thessalonians 1:10

Exciting to Waiting - "Waiting is something boring". That is what is felt by many people. But unlike the usual anticipation, awaiting the coming of Jesus is not something boring. Someone who was imprisoned certainly hope that the coming day of deliverance and when he heard that day was announced, then surely he would be very happy to hear it.

Our anticipation of the coming day of the Lord who frees us from injustice, crime, abuse, negligence, restrictions, etc. terror is certainly pleasant anticipation. If ribuaan audience can be very enthusiastic about looking forward to the match squad idol, then we are waiting on the arrival of Jesus rightly encouraged by the exceptional.

Lamb, who sits at the right hand of the Father in heaven, and which became the center of worship, honor and praise the elders, the angels even all beings in eternity is the perfect idol that we are awaiting his arrival.

This pleasant anticipation we need to live in perseverance. Paul is thankful remembering persistence of hope believers in Thessalonica (verse 3). Perseverance and hope like this reminds me of the gold mine workers, who ignore the danger of landslides that threaten their safety. Persistence workers who hope to get this gold is a good idea to pursue our waiting for the coming of Jesus. In such perseverance we hope to meet with the Lamb that cost can not be compared to gold, even can not be bought with all the wealth of the world.

Inspiration: Let us ignore all of the risks, temptations and threats of any kind in the perseverance of our hope for the coming of Jesus.
